I recently updated my desktop (white box) to windows 10, and while everything else seems to be fine, I am missing the Dolby Home Theater v4 software that I had with windows 7. My Motherboard (Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3) supported it in windows 7--I believe it was installed with the chipset driver suite. I looked at the gigabyte driver page, and they only have windows 10 drivers for Realtek LAN and HD audio (http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3996&dl=1#driver). I updated the HD audio drivers to the most recent (R4.31), and there is still no dolby software to be found.
I also checked with the dolby website and I can't find any software downloads. It appears that the AMD Catalyst driver suite has not been updated for windows 10 yet, judging by this:
Looks like the software I have now is still the same from windows 8.
As for the Dolby home theater software, should I try installing windows 8.1 drivers that are most up-to-date (on the gigabyte website) or just wait for windows 10 drivers. Seems like a minor thing, but music sounds lackluster (to keep things PG) without the dolby software.
Thanks for reading all of this
One other note: the windows 10 compatibility checker did not tell me that there would be an issue with dolby
